Would you let your dentist cut, color, and highlight your hair? How about letting the service professional at the car dealership give you a new set of nails? Could your local florist pick out the right pair of golf clubs for you to use at the charity golf tournament? Chances are you answered “NO” to one or all of the above listed questions. So why in the world would you let just anyone tell you how to train the temple that you live in…..YOUR BODY?

We only get one shot at making the most of our health before our bodies will eventually decide to deteriorate. In the scenarios listed earlier, all situations represented the situation of having a professional provide professional services. Most of us desire for someone to provide a particular service and we expect that the service will be provided by an expert in that particular field or line of work.

So, if you want to look better, feel better, and most importantly live longer, you may seek the advice and guidance of a professional in fitness, nutrition and/or weight management. You owe it to your body to make sure that the person you hire to help guide you in your health and fitness journey is coming from a strong professional background. Seek a fitness professional who is educated, certified, and experienced! Ask questions and make sure your health and fitness professional gathers the full story with regard to your exercise background and health history.
