Just more than one month ago, the Obesity Action Coalition (OAC) hosted its 2nd Annual Your Weight Matters National Convention in conjunction with the Phoenix Walk from Obesity, held at the Arizona Grand Resort and Spa. The OAC’s Convention welcomed more than 370 attendees from all over the United States for three days of unrivaled education and fun social events, including the Phoenix Walk which was held on the final day of the Convention.

This year, Convention attendees were able to “Rise to the Challenge” in a community of support as they were provided with all the latest evidence-based weight management strategies from 37 speakers. The OAC’s 2013 National Convention was a place where everyone interested in improving health came together to learn new skills and benefit from the fantastic education provided by experts in the field of weight and health. We all have a different path toward better health, but Convention attendees, Phoenix residents, and others dedicated to advancing the cause of obesity all walked the same path for the 2013 Phoenix Walk from Obesity.

While there is no substitute for participating in-person at the Walk from Obesity and the OAC’s Your Weight Matters National Convention, the OAC is proud to offer a snippet of the education offered at the Convention. The OAC’s Educational Webinar Series is your opportunity to experience expert education in an online setting beginning October 8. A variety of topics are included in the OAC’s Educational Webinar Series including popular weight-loss trends, improving self-perception, the science behind willpower, and practical tactics for good nutrition.
